Marketing Manager Review
What I liked
Honestly, the door-to-door cab service is a total lifesaver for those late night shifts in Gurgaon, especially when it feels unsafe. Having the GE brand on your resume is a huge boost for future exit options at Tier-1 firms. I also managed to get my Six Sigma Green Belt certificaiton here, which is definitely a major plus for my long-term marketability in the Indian finance sector.
Areas for improvement
The work-life balance is totally trashed because of the US time zones. I'm stuck on calls until midnight way too often. Also, the forced ranking system is just brutal and makes everyone super stressed about their job security every year. For a creative, the constant budget constraints and rigid matrix structure are so frustrating. Its hard to do anything actually innovative when everything is slowed down by bureaucracy.

What I liked
Honestly, the GE brand on your CV is gold in the Indian BFSI space. I’ve used the IJP to see different sides of the business which is cool. Also, the cabs are super safe for late shifts in Gurgaon, which is a relief. The leadership training is actually decent and adds real market value for future roles.
Areas for improvement
Tbh, the shift stretch is killing me. We constantly have to stay late for US approvals and it’s just exhausting. Everything takes forever because headquaters needs to sign off on even small markting budgets. Plus the bell curve system is so toxic, it makes everyone way too competitive for no reason and kills team spirit.

What I liked
I really value the exposure to Lean and Six Sigma here—it’s a huge boost for my resume in India. The transport team is also super reliable; the door-to-door cab service in Gurgaon is a lifesaver when I'm finishing late shifts. Plus, the IJP process is actually legit, making it easy to switch roles internally if you want a change or a promotion without leaving.
Areas for improvement
The US/UK shifts are honestly the hardest part. It messes with your sleep and social life since you're working when everyone else is out. Also, the bell curve appraisal system is kinda brutal. Even if you hit all your KPIs, you might still get a low hike. Some of the global SOPs feel way too rigid for devops work sometimes, its a bit slow.
