Data Scientist Review

What I liked

I really love the exposure to global EV engineering standards here. Honestly, being able to work on advanced R&D projects as a data scientist is way more exciting than what you get at legacy Indian companies. Te flatter hierarchy also helps because you get noticed for your work pretty fast. Also, the hybrid setup is a huge plus because driving through Bengaluru traffic every day is a nightmare.

Areas for improvement

Tbh, the late-night sync calls with the US team are te toughest part of the job. It’s hard to keep a regular schedule when you have meetings starting at 9 or 10 PM. Also, the lack of a proper office shuttle service makes the commute a bit of a pain compared to other Tier-1 firms. The startup nature also means things like job security and yearly budgets can feel a bit shaky at times.

What I liked

Honestly, the exposure to SDV and niche EV architecture is top-tier. You won't find this kind of tech at traditional Indian OEMs. The pay is also way better than legacy manufacturing firms, plus getting to see how a global product launch works from the inside is a huge plus for my career. It's cool to see international standards up close and actually apply agile cycles to real-world data.

Areas for improvement

The work-life balance is kinda terrible. Since we're syncing with the US team, my nights are basically gone with late meetings. Also, the financial instability is worrying—we've seen some appraisal freezes because of the liquidity situation. Plus, there’s no transport or a real campus, so commuting to the tech hub is a total nightmare everyday on your own dime.
